Welcome to THE BLUE BUTTERFLY STUDIO.
My name is Andy Hayward and I am a self taught artist who has been painting for over 40 years.
Major influences have been the French Impressionists, Stanley Spencer, David Hockney and Salvador Dali.
Most my paintings tend to be landscapes in one form or another, painted in either oils or acrylics.
The subject matter can vary tremendously- it can be the local area where I live or scenes painted in Cornwall, an area I find most inspirational.
Over the last two years I have been involved with stone carving and I am now a member of the Shapeshifters Sculpture Company- you can find their website details in the Links section of this website.
I have now included some stone sculpture on the site- I hope you like it!
My work can be seen regularly at the RBSA (Royal Birmingham Society of Artists) where they are shown in open and friends exhibitions.
All my work carries the distinctive blue butterfly logo.
Some works are marked NOT FOR SALE- these are normally being reserved for exhibition. If you are interested in any of these please contact me as they may be available.
